Safeguarding

Safeguarding

St Joseph’s are committed to safeguarding all our pupils, which means:

  • protecting children from abuse and neglect
  • preventing harm to children’s health or development
  • ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care
  • taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes.

Child protection is part of the safeguarding process. It focuses on protecting individual children identified as suffering or likely to suffer significant harm.

We are committed to creating safe environments where our pupils can learn and thrive. All adults in school are trained regularly to keep up-to-date with the latest safeguarding policies and procedures. Our school curriculum is designed to incorporate Safeguarding and online Safety, in age appropriate formats. This helps our pupils understand and cope with risks and develop resilience to future risks that they may face.
