At St. Joseph’s we are proud to be working as a school community to achieve CAFOD’s livesimply Award
The livesimply award is an opportunity for Catholic communities – parishes, schools, religious orders and chaplaincies – to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation in Laudato Si’ to “work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to us”.
It is awarded to communities who can show how they have been living:
• simply
• in solidarity with people in poverty
• sustainably with creation.
In order to achieve the award at St. Joseph’s we plan on using House charity events to collect items for our local foodbank, raising funds for the CAFOD this advent and increasing the amount we reuse and recycle in school.
